Understanding the methods for increasing the ability to conform to Customers' needs is fast becoming the differentiator in developing suppliers. The more advanced process of S&OP places emphasis on creating Demand Knowledge to increase the ability to perform to Customer needs

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Demand Management Objectives - All people who are involved with the development of demand must understand how important it is to understand as much as possible about the various types of demand that exist in the Marketplace
  • Demand Knowledge Development - The creation and retention of the causes of Customer Demand are the heart and soul of obtaining useable knowledge. This program will provide a detailed approach to developing the required knowledge that will lead to improved Customer Satisfaction and internal costs.
  • Demand Flexibility - Both the operations function and the Customer must understand the flexibility of your capability to supply. This Course will teach attendees how to tune your capabilities to meet demand variability.
  • Supply/Demand Balancing - Operations must interpret the demand variability and create the flexibility to respond to Customer Demand Variability. Attendees will work with examples of problems associated with varying demand.
  • Supply Reaction Capability - Operations should develop the right level of flexibility to react to demand or be prepared to indicate what is required to make necessary changes to again conform to demands.
  • Engaging the total Supply Chain - The supply capability may include your suppliers to truly gain the capability to react to Demand. This Seminar will include methods of creating supplier collaboration to meet needs and balance Supply with Demand.
