Biography - Michael T. Walsh

Michael T. Walsh, CPIM is an associate of Helle Consulting, a manufacturing consulting firm specializing in Lean manufacturing, ERP, JIT and TQM. He has nearly 25 years experience in various types of management, as a consultant, practitioner and educator.

He provides both consulting and education in Supply Chain, Inv. Mgt., MRP, JIT, LEAN, TQM, ISO 9000, Supplier Certification and Presentation/Learning Skill programs. His operating and management experience includes materials, purchasing, quality, inventory control, logistics, production and security.

Michael is an APICS Qualified Instructor for all CPIM modules (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) - to include Basics of Supply Chain Management, Master Planning of Resources (MPS), Detailed Scheduling and Planning (MRP/CRP), Execution Control of Operations (JIT), and Strategic Management of Resources; AMES (Applied Manufacturing Educational Series) and TTT (Train-The-Trainer).

An active member of APICS, Boston Chapter since 1981, Michael has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1983, including three terms as Chapter President and currently serves the chapter as Vice President of Education. Michael has been a Region 1(New England) instructor since 1985 and is a frequent speaker at chapter meetings, regional/ national conferences and workshops and seminars.

Regionally, Michael serves Region 1 as Director of Seminar 1, the premier educational conference and exposition for New England. Nationally, Michael serves APICS Society as Vice President for Region 1 (New England) and is also a member of the 2003 and 2004 APICS International Conference Planning Committees, as well as, the 2003 APICS Strategic Planning and Implementation Committee.
